The aim of the project was to expand the client’s logistics and storage capacity by extending the existing logistics, storage, and operational facilities with:
The addition of another storage warehouse of approximately 18 800 m2 complete with loading bays,
The addition of approximately 12 650 m2 of external reinforced concrete hardstand for storage of pallets and crates,
The addition of approximately 7050 m2 of external paved areas for storage of pallets and crates,
New primary asphalt and secondary reinforced concrete access roads for truck deliveries and collections,
An additional 4 100 m2 of reinforced concrete hardstand, complete with cantilever steel canopy and new delivery bays.
Assessment of existing stormwater capacity.
Extension of existing stormwater pipes and capacity.
The brewery site is located in Klipriver, to the south of Johannesburg, which is located on a medium to high-risk dolomitic area and therefore special design precautions were taken in accordance with the applicable SANS code.
